TORTUS is a London-based start-up founded by a physician and a machine learning engineer building a next-generation AI co-pilot for physicians. We are on a mission to eliminate medical error entirely within the next ten years, leveraging the latest advances in LLMs and action AI technology to create true co-working alongside an AI agent, boosting physician efficiency, safety and knowledge. We believe in the next five years this type of technology will become mandatory in healthcare.

Position Summary

We are looking for a kind, high achieving and multi-talented full stack software engineer to join our growing team as we expand and delve deeper into one of the hardest problems in applied AI. Applicants need to be mission-driven and hard working, looking to make a real impact in the world.

Technical Skills we are looking for

React / Tailwind CSS /
Generalist skillset – adaptable technicality
Back end and front end (true full stack)
Testing frameworks eg. JEST
Cloud DevOps
Creating GDPR compliant systems
CICD
Docker

Production: Next.JS / TypeScript / Kubernetes / Docker Swarm

Non-technical Skills we are looking for

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven track record of effectively collaborating in cross-functional teams
Strong active listening skills and openness to feedback.
Willingness to continuously learn and adapt in a dynamic startup environment.
Demonstrated passion and proactive attitude toward staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends, research papers, and advancements.
